The DT015 / 0-700 pressure sensor measures absolute gas pressure
The main sensing unit inside the DT015/0-700 is composed of a pressure sensitive membrane, and a flexible resistor attached to it. This flexible resistor changes its resistance when it bends. When the air pressure drops or increases, the resistor's resistance changes, and according to Ohm's law so does the voltage measured on it. This voltage is then adjusted a range of 0-5 Volts, accepted by the analog-digital converter of the Data-Logger. The proper result is then recorded into the Logger's memory.
The DT015 / 0-700 is equipped with "zero offset" calibration screw. At the bottom of the egg shaped sensor case, you can notice a small round hole. If calibration is needed, please use a flat screwdriver to adjust the sensor reading while comparing it to a reference pressure device.
The DT015/0-700 is mostly used as a pressure sensor for experiments
in Biology and Chemistry in experiments like the gas laws.
